Creates a connection to a database containing the details of those who received the device. Used by police forces in the UK. The device can only be obtained through the police. The idea was developed in Spain and came to the UK in 2011. Also operates in Portugal, Ireland and Germany. Suitable only for known cases of victims of violence whose details are in the police database;
